Located at 2201 Kresge Dr, Amherst, OH 44001, Giant Eagle Supermarket operates as an asian grocery store serving Amherst in Ohio. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as supermarket, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 am–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Giant Eagle Supermarket at (440) 282-7614; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Haven’t been here in years decided to stop by since I happened to be in the area. My wife had to make a stop into the restroom and while I was waiting outside the bathroom corridor I saw a wet drip on my 3 year olds head and I wiped it away thinking nothing maybe it was drool she will lick her hand and wipe her face she’s 3! But then a moment later a felt something hit my hand and I look down and see a splash of water on my left hand. Then I look up and I see what I am posting here in these photos. Absolutely disgusting. management told me they have a work order for it but it has not been taken care of yet but I am not the first to complain. I’ll be sure to stop in again in a few weeks to see if the problem has been handled.

I lucked out this time and actually was helped by courteous staff. I'm still not happy with some of the produce, but it's better than some other places I've been. Onions and tomatoes had a lot of gnats. It , also, feels like they're over watering /auto. spraying the veggies. Green onions, carrots, etc. we're saturated w/water, mud, and a lot of rotting exterior, which some appeared to be from the watering. What happened to the paper towels they used to have hanging up for this issue. Luckily, I had a tissue, at least. I still find items at the meat dept. they aren't labeled w/prices on the item or tags. But, all in all, even w/elevated prices I still shop here since it's one of the 2 stores my insurance otc card works. Although that's a challenge at checkout anymore and the cashiers are quick to give various excuses as to why this is suddenly happening. The store is clean, has a wide variety, and can be a convenience all things considered.
